Colorado PIRTEK Advances To Full Brick-And-Mortar Location

Growing City Infrastructure Drives Advancement of Tier 2 Location to Service & Supply Center

Rick Ramus spent 32 years as an electrical engineer for large corporations before becoming a PIRTEK Franchise Owner. While much of his past work experience doesn’t directly translate to the field of hydraulic and industrial hose repair, he has had no problem creating a successful business. In fact, his mobile service franchise is now making the transition to a full brick-and-mortar Service & Supply Center.

PIRTEK NoCo opened in December 2016 under the company’s Tier 2 program. This option allows franchisees to lease two vehicles and keep inventory in a storage facility. The Tier 2 model allows for PIRTEK ownership at a significantly lower point of entry than the traditional Tier 1 model, which includes a Service & Supply Center along with the Mobile Service Vehicles.

The new storefront is located at 4691 Concorde Ave. Suite 2,  Johnstown, Colorado 80534. According to Rick, he chose this location because of its close proximity to highway I-25, which provides access to surrounding cities, as well as an abundance of roadwork & construction projects for the area’s growing infrastructure. The location is also ideal because the cities of Loveland, Fort Collins, and Greeley are easily accessible. This will allow Rick and his team to provide fast service to all of their customers.

In addition to community development, the region boasts a thriving oil & gas industry, which relies on PIRTEK NoCo to keep them operating. While dispatching Mobile Service Vehicles throughout the area for the past four years, Rick has been able to observe the demands of customers in the area, and gather information to help him choose the best place to position his Service & Supply Center.

Rick sees the grand opening of his storefront as an additional way to connect with customers. It will be a place to provide over the counter service for custom built high pressure hose assemblies and a comprehensive range of industrial products for those clients who don’t necessarily require a full on-site service call.

His team will also continue to maintain their strong mobile service capabilities that their customers have come to rely on. “I like that the mobile service doesn’t tie you down to one location,” says Rick. He goes on to explain that he likes the business-to-business aspect of PIRTEK’s operations, while also having the opportunity to support individuals across a wide range of industries.

Rick says that the best part about being a part of the PIRTEK USA team is that he receives a steady stream of IT, technical & networking support, inventory & stocking assistance, as well as any other help he may need. The guidance from PIRTEK USA is just one factor that has helped him to create a thriving business – Rick says another very important ingredient is his team.

Operations Manager, Justin Tucker has been there since the beginning and helped build the business. Rick has also hired the best Mobile Service Technicians to serve his clients and represent his business. He explains that “it is important to seek out employees with the right aptitude, attitude, and character – because he has learned that everything else can be taught, but not those very important traits.” Rick says he and his team are excited for this next chapter and look forward to continuing to grow the business in the future.

The only franchise brand of its kind in the United States, PIRTEK USA specializes in hydraulic and industrial hose services through its locations throughout the country. PIRTEK USA team members are available 24/7 to provide onsite repairs to hydraulic and industrial hoses, thanks to the company’s specially equipped Mobile Service Vehicles. PIRTEK boasts more than 400 franchise locations in 23 countries around the world, including more than 92 in the United States.
