PIRTEK USA Aligns with Tunnel to Towers Foundation as National Charity Partner
PIRTEK USA Donates $25,000 To Honor and Benefit First Responders and their Families
PIRTEK USA, a global on-site and retail hydraulic and industrial hose replacement provider, has signed a national partnership with the Tunnel to Towers Foundation for the year. The partnership will benefit Tunnel to Towers’ In The Line of Duty Programs, the Smart Home Program, Fallen First Responder Home Program and Gold Star Family Home Program, which provide qualifying families with mortgage-free homes.
The Tunnel to Towers Foundation was created to honor the sacrifice of FDNY Firefighter Stephen Siller who laid down his life to save others on September 11, 2001. Tunnel to Towers pays tribute to his memory by supporting our military and first responders who continue to make the supreme sacrifice of life and limb for our country.
Throughout this year, PIRTEK plans to work with the foundation on several projects. Each PIRTEK franchise will also receive local marketing materials for the partnership.
“In alignment with our Mission Statement ‘to be giving participants in the communities we serve’, we feel it is of utmost importance to support those who work to protect and serve our communities every day,” said Kim Gubera, President and CEO of PIRTEK USA.
“We are excited to be working with PIRTEK USA as their national charity partner.” said Tunnel to Towers Chairman and CEO Frank Siller. “PIRTEK is committed to giving back to the communities they serve around the country. There is no better way to do that by supporting those who risk their lives every day to keep our communities safe.”
PIRTEK USA participates in several charitable endeavors every year, most notably sponsoring the Children’s Hunger Project since 2017. To help provide free weekend meals for Brevard County elementary school children, PIRTEK USA team members volunteer at Children’s Hunger Project’s fundraisers and bag stuff events throughout the year.

PIRTEK USA Participates in Health First Fight Child Hunger 5K
Annual Event Benefits the Children’s Hunger Project
Saturday, January 16th, was a beautiful day for the Children’s Hunger Project annual 5K Event, as PIRTEK USA team members and their families turned out to show their support. This is one of several charitable endeavours that PIRTEK USA participates in annually, since the brand became a sponsor of the charity organization in 2017. Team members also volunteer at fundraisers and bag stuffing events throughout the year.
The Children’s Hunger Project provides Brevard County elementary school children with meals to take home with them each Friday. This bridges the gap over the weekend for students who rely on free school breakfast and lunch programs. According to the Children’s Hunger Project, some elementary schools within Brevard County have 80% or more of their kids on the free and reduced-price meal program. Many of them are at risk of childhood hunger and malnutrition. The organization strives to make sure that no child goes hungry for the two days each week that they don’t attend school.
This year’s Fight Child Hunger 5K was an enjoyable event. Fellow sponsor David Brubaker, of Central Brevard Sharing Center, sang the National Anthem. After a warmup led by Children’s Hunger Project’s Tammy Shelley, the racers took off in the crisp morning air. Attendees held signs and cheered along the sidelines as participants went by. The event had a great turnout, which translates to success for the children of Brevard. The organizers of the event handled this year’s unique challenges well. They did a great job of setting guidelines for social distancing and participant safety.
Members of the team PIRTEK 5K race team included Marketing Coordinator, Alexandra Sattler and her husband, Justin; OPG+ Operations Manager, Antonia Duncan; Director of Franchise Development, Nick Ridgway, along with his family; and IT Program Manager, Robert Spiteri, along with his daughter, Emily. We’re appreciative of each team member who showed enthusiasm throughout the day for supporting a great cause within our community. We all look forward to our next event with this wonderful organization.
On Giving Tuesday, PIRTEK takes part with donation to local charity
The corporate office came together for a great local cause yet again and collected monetary donations for the local Children’s Hunger Project. The organization’s mission is to provide elementary school children with meals for the weekend. Food items include ravioli or spaghetti and meatballs, milk, juice boxes, breakfast bar, cereal and other food items. The kid-friendly food is lightweight and easy for kids to handle – no cooking is required.
PIRTEK has been a sponsor of this organization for almost two years and this is a cause that everyone at corporate is happy to stand behind. In the spirit of #GivingTuesday the team was able to collect enough funds to feed 22 additional local children. This is the third fund raiser of the year and the team is also working towards another bag stuffing event in early 2019.

PIRTEK USA Supports at the annual Chris Kyle Legendary Classic
During the Chris Kyle Frog Foundation Arlington Legendary Golf Classic, which is held at the Tierra Verde Golf Club in Arlington, TX, golfers take to the course to honor the fallen. “The week of Veteran’s day is a great opportunity to reflect on those who have served our country and we couldn’t be more proud to have partnered with the families of the 18 Fallen Heroes,” said Taya Kyle, the Foundation’s Executive Director and Co-Founder. Each hole is linked to a First Responder or Service Member who lost their lives during the course of duty.
The mission of the Chris Kyle Frog Foundation is Honor GOD, Country and Families who serve. It is focused on changing the world for this generation and the next by recognizing and strengthening military and first responder marriages through unique programs and powerful partnerships.
Golfers take on the 18 holes, while also encountering some surprise challenges, all raising money for the Foundation.
PIRTEK USA Corporate Office Supporting Children’s Hunger Project
As a part of our mission to continually be a part of the community we serve, the PIRTEK USA corporate office participated in an internal food/donation drive to serve the partnership with the Children’s Hunger Project. All employees were provided the list of food items needed as well as the option to make a monetary donation. The team was able to raise enough to help 48 local kids have food for the next month! The Children’s Hunger Project is a local organization that helps feed children in need within Brevard county on weekends, of whom, without this program, may not have food.

The relationship between PIRTEK USA and the Chris Kyle Frog Foundation, in a mutual effort to provide experiences to service couples, will continue in 2018.
The Chris Kyle Frog Foundation(CKFF) and PIRTEK relationship saw a number of couples hosted at NHRA events with Torrence Racing throughout 2017. This year, PIRTEK will be contributing in various ways to Revitalization Retreat couples.
The Chris Kyle Frog Foundation has a range of programs that it brings couples through. This is in an effort to address the rigors of service on the marriage. As statistically, marriages of those who serve result in a significantly higher than average divorce rate.
A date night out is the starting point for many couples with the Chris Kyle Frog Foundation. Activities such as a night at a Baseball game, Bowling at “Bowl and Barrel” in Dallas or an afternoon at NHRA, it is designed to allow couples time off. In many of these cases it has been years since they had the opportunity to just have those few hours together and let someone else serve them.
Richard and Karen, a couple who benefitted from PIRTEK’s contributions were able to have a day at the NHRA in Vegas. They contacted Chris Kyle Frog Foundation in the months following their Date Night Out with some great feedback. “It had been months since Karen and I have been on a date,” said Richard. “Just to have the chance to spend a day out with my wife was so special to us. This will be etched in our memories for a lifetime. Thank you for keeping Chris’ memory alive and doing wonderful events like tonight. We had such a great time, we’ll cherish it forever.”
CKFF’s Revitalization Retreats are the signature program where couples will have a short stay at a resort or hotel with a ‘fun fund’ where they get to spend time together doing an activity or attending a show. As another part of their package, they are taken through counselling sessions before going on their Retreat to assess where their strengths lie and where some of the fractures may be in their marriage – and this continues upon their return.
In 2017, Mastering Your Marriage was launched by CKFF in association with Baylor University and the University of Texas, with support from The Moody Foundation and USAA Insurance. MYM is a six-month curriculum-based program through which, over a series of weeks, has shown that selected couples started to show positive impact just within weeks of starting the program. This is supported by an App where the couple accesses course materials and guidance from the University clinicians. CKFF is already seeing bonds between like minded couples, that didn’t know each other before the Mastering Your Marriage process started.
And finally, entering its third year in 2018, is the Empowered Spouses Retreat. This brings together spouses from the military and first responder communities in a remote location to share their experiences and talk through many of the struggles they experience with CKFF-appointed clinicians. Team building and other activities also take place during the course of this program.
In 2018, Chris Kyle Frog Foundation has a goal of increasing its impact across the military, veteran and first responder spectrum to serve more marriages of whom serve our country and communities.
It is through the support of organizations like PIRTEK, its franchisees and staff that allow the Foundation to carry out its mission.
PIRTEK USA is proud to help children in need with their contribution to The Children’s Hunger Project of Brevard
Rockledge, FL, USA May 2017 – PIRTEK USA is happy to contribute to the Children’s Hunger Project of Brevard again this year! “With the great partnership and vivacity of the donation last year, we were thrilled to help with this great cause yet again,” said Marketing Manager, Georganne DeSeve.
In Brevard county alone, the number of children who receive the free and reduced meals at school is close to 50% of the total number of children in school. The Children’s Hunger project will help children in need so that they never have to go another day feeling hungry or malnourished. Childhood hunger, among many other health and developmental complications, leads to a weaker immune system and difficulty being able to effectively learn or pay attention in the classroom. Hungry children are often times much more prone to becoming ill and have noticeably lower academic success compared to children with the proper nutrition.
This is a cause that PIRTEK enjoys standing behind because it helps children in need and it also allows them to be a part of the community in which they live and work, which happens to be one of PIRTEK USA’s new Core Values.
“A year ago, we discovered the Children’s Hunger Project when we made our original contribution”, says Georganne DeSeve, Marketing Manager at PIRTEK USA. “While planning our spring 2017 fundraiser the team at PIRTEK USA felt that we should make our donation to the charity again. It’s a great feeling knowing that our contribution can feed about 6 children for an entire year.

Chris Kyle Frog Foundation and PIRTEK Partner to Support Military and First Responder Marriages Through “Nitro” Retreat Series
Midlothian, Texas, USA – February 14, 2017 – Chris Kyle Frog Foundation (CKFF) and PIRTEK today announced a partnership to help support military and first responder marriages and families. PIRTEK, a leading provider of fluid transfer solution products and services, is sponsoring the “Nitro Experience” Revitalization Retreats in 2017.
Held at scheduled drag races across the United States, the Nitro retreats are offered four times a year in various locations throughout the country.
“These men and women sacrifice so much for our safety and well-being,” said Georganne DeSeve, PIRTEK marketing manager. “Their jobs entail a great deal of stress on a daily basis. Helping them reconnect as couples allows them to get away from it all for a time. PIRTEK is happy to play a role in making this happen.”
In 2016, PIRTEK worked with the Chris Kyle Frog Foundation to provide six military service veterans and first responders an opportunity to be part of an actual pit crew at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. PIRTEK-sponsored Team Murray participated in the TAG Heuer Pit Crew Challenge, a program of the Chris Kyle Frog Foundation that leads up to the Indianapolis 500.
Since the Foundation’s first year, Revitalization Retreats have been vital to supporting the Foundation’s mission “to honor God, country, and families who serve through experiences that strengthen military and first responder marriages and families.” Couples selected through a nomination process are awarded a unique opportunity to downshift from the intensity of mission-focused life, and to reconnect. CKFF’s goal is to provide married military, veteran, and first responder couples one-on-one time to enrich their relationship and remember what they love about each other.
“We are humbled by the dedication to service marriages shown by PIRTEK USA, and their willingness to give back to those who serve us,” said Taya Kyle, Chris Kyle Frog Foundation’s Executive Director and wife of the Foundation’s namesake, Chris Kyle. Chris authored the highly acclaimed memoir, “American Sniper” documenting his life serving as a Navy SEAL sniper. “It’s through meaningful partnerships such as this that allow CKFF to expand our reach and keep these families thriving through the extreme pressures that a life of service creates,” she added.

PIRTEK Day for Charity Supports Rare Disease, ADSL Deficiency
The disease was first described in 1984, and leads to profound developmental delay and, in up to 30% of cases, autistic features. Currently, over 30 mutations in ADSL are known to cause ADSL deficiency. The clinical picture in these individuals can vary widely. It effects patients both biochemically and behaviorally, with symptoms including psychomotor retardation and include seizures, cortical visual impairment and hypotonia.
Presently, there is no known cure or treatment and there is very little information out there about the disease. There are currently 60 known cases worldwide.

PIRTEK USA Donates to The Children’s Hunger Project
(June, 2016) – At PIRTEK USA’s most recent charity fundraiser, the team is proud to have supported the Children’s Hunger Project. The funds will be used to restore hope and nurture the minds and hearts of hungry children in Brevard County by providing them with food assistance over the weekends.
The Children’s Hunger Project provides weekend meals every Friday to as many needy elementary school children as possible. The effort fights childhood hunger and malnutrition during the school year. The lightweight, easy to handle food can be consumed even when the power is out and no refrigeration is required.
Teachers and school administrators, those on the front line of caring for our children while they are away from their parents during the week, know firsthand of the weekend hunger problem. The teachers know as they wave goodbye on Fridays which students will not have proper nutrition over the weekend. They know which students will arrive Monday morning ill-prepared to learn properly.
“With our donation, 5 children will be provided with food for the weekend for an entire year”, says Georganne DeSeve, Marketing Manager at PIRTEK USA. “Knowing that our efforts will make a positive impact on a child’s life is heartwarming to all of us a PIRTEK USA. We are proud to support a great cause like this.”
