New, national headquarters and warehouse in Rockledge, Fla., will be five times larger than current location—enhancing PIRTEK’s franchisee support services
Rockledge, FL – On May 5th, PIRTEK USA broke ground at the site of its national corporate offices and distribution facilities future home. The company is constructing a new headquarters and primary national warehouse, which, when completed in mid-2018, will be five times the size of its current facilities.
At the ground breaking ceremony team members from PIRTEK USA, City of Rockledge, Mayor Thomas Price, other City officials, Pamela Gunthrope with the Economic Development Commission of Florida’s Space Coast and the project developer Nick Rahal were all in attendance to help commemorate the occasion.
“This will provide us a much larger distribution center to support our increasing number of franchises across the country,” said Glenn Duncan, chief executive officer of PIRTEK. “With all of the growth we’re experiencing, we really need a new facility like this to keep pace.”
Sitting on 10 acres on Gus Hip Boulevard, the two-story, state-of-the-art facility will contain 120,000 square feet of warehouse space and 20,000 of office space.
Duncan added that the new facility will be ideal as the center for PIRTEK’s franchising network across the United States, part of the company’s philosophy to centralize its corporate operations. The extra warehouse space will also enable PIRTEK to stock a wider array of products onsite. “This will be more of a one-stop shop,” he said. “We’ll be able to keep a much greater variety of inventory here to serve our franchises, as well as more volume.”
Work will begin on the new facilities within the next few weeks and is scheduled for completion in 18 months. The company will focus on using as many local contractors on the project as possible, part of the company’s mission to become a pivotal corporate citizen within the communities it serves throughout the United States.
