PIRTEK is a franchising company on an upward trajectory. The onsite hose-replacement company has watched its presence spread steadily over the United States map since 2015 with 26 new franchises.
“It’s been such an exciting time for PIRTEK in the United States,” said Glenn Duncan, PIRTEK CEO. “Our business strategies are paying off and we’re seeing widespread success as a result.”
When a piece of hydraulic or pneumatic blows a hose, a PIRTEK technician is available 24 hours a day to perform the replacement from a Mobile Service Vehicle. There are 76 PIRTEK Franchises across the United States, more than 400 worldwide.
Entrepreneur magazine’s rankings tell the story of PIRTEK’s success. Back in 2015, the company occupied 422nd place on the magazine’s Franchise 500 list. But PIRTEK has shifted into high gear since then, cracking the top 100 this year at No.78.
PIRTEK’s ascent in Entrepreneur’s Global 200 list has been equally meteoric: The company is now among the top 50 franchising companies worldwide at No.42.
“Our Tier 2, ‘mobile-only’ option is one of the primary factors in our recent success,” Duncan said. “It’s opened up PIRTEK Franchising to more people than ever before.”
Tier 1 ownership requires brick-and-mortar location, but under the Tier 2 program, owners can keep inventory in a storage facility and lease two Mobile Service Vehicles.
PIRTEK requires an upgrade to Tier 1 status within three years with a complete Service & Supply Center. But some Tier 2 owners have done so well that they’ve been able to advance to Tier 1 in short order. For example, Oliver Romano’s PIRTEK Grand Rapids (Michigan) began as “mobile only.” Brisk business helped him upgrade fast to Tier 1, two years early. “My customers wanted a physical location,” Romano said, “so I set it up.”
