PIRTEK, the world’s leading fluid transfer solutions company, is continuing its expansion across Florida and the United States with the opening of PIRTEK Daytona in Volusia County. PIRTEK Daytona is the 13th Florida PIRTEK location and will officially serve the entire county.
Dan Ferretti, also the owner of PIRTEK Space Coast in Rockledge, FL, started the Daytona location under the company’s Tier 2 model. Tier 2 is a mobile-only option that enables franchise startup at a lower point of entry, while giving those locations the same high level of training and support as Tier 1. The franchisee can keep the inventory in a small warehouse or storage facility and lease two vehicles.
Tier 2 differs from the standard Tier 1 model, in which a franchisee operates a full Service & Supply Center staffed with six team members and at least two Mobile Service Vehicles. After three years, Tier 2 owners are expected to upgrade to a Tier 1 location.
“The Tier 2 model makes franchise ownership more accessible to a larger group,” said Ferretti. “It also enables existing owners to own multiple franchises. We wanted to take advantage of that benefit so would could expand and consolidate our coverage area on the coast.”
Daytona, he said, is a good location for PIRTEK because of all the marinas, manufacturing and rental business.
“It should be similar to the business we’re doing in Brevard County,” he said. “We expect PIRTEK Daytona to be a strong location for us, and we’re looking forward to growing it into a Tier 1 as soon as possible.”
The only franchise of its kind in the United States, PIRTEK provides hydraulic and industrial hose replacement sales and services. There are 70 PIRTEK franchises and a fleet of Mobile Service Vehicles throughout the United States. Globally, PIRTEK has more than 400 locations and 2,000 Mobile Service Vehicles in 23 countries.
